1000 horsepower, a 0-60 time of less than 3 seconds, a top speed north of 200 mph–yeah, the C8 Corvette ZR1 is certainly a quick piece of kit.
And, while not everyone will get the chance to pilot one on track, we can offer the next best thing: the chance to compete against one.
Enter Dallas Reed, whose C8 Corvette ZR1 is among the latest entrants into our search for the fastest track machine on four wheels, the Tire Rack Ultimate Track Car Challenge Presented by Grassroots Motorsports.
As Reed explains, the ZR1 combines “hypercar performance without hypercar compromises” with an ability “to be driven to an event, run hard through every session to the checkered and driven home.”
Likewise, the modifications to the ZR1 are fairly tame, primarily consisting of Öhlins TTX shocks and a bespoke set of wheels wrapped in Vitour P1 P-01R tires, Reed tells us.
Think (or know) you have a track car that’s faster than the latest Corvette ZR1? Enter it today for a chance to prove it on the big stage.
Our Tire Rack Ultimate Track Car Challenge takes place at Eagles Canyon Raceway on October 22 alongside the Tire Rack SCCA Time Attack Challenge.
The Tire Rack Ultimate Track Car Challenge is presented by Grassroots Motorsports in association with Wilwood, Vitour Tire, CRC Industries, Red Line Oil and Racetech, with trophies from BimmerWorld, Nine Lives Racing, Falken Tire, Vbox Motorsport and American Muscle.
