Think you have a track car that’s faster than a modern supercar? Lucky you, here’s your chance to prove it.
Among our latest entrants into the Tire Rack Ultimate Track Car Challenge Presented by Grassroots Motorsports, our annual search for the fastest track machine on four wheels? None other than GRM’s Tire Test Editor, Andy Hollis, and his McLaren 720S.
“The 720S is a totally streetable track weapon” Andy says of his McLaren, which has racked up numerous time attack wins as well as finishing at the front of the field multiple times in the grueling Tire Rack One Lap of America.

Although totally stock aside from Girodisc brake rotors, Cobalt brake pads and Finspeed wheels, the 720S is still good for over 700 horsepower straight from the factory and is capable of hitting 60 mph in less than three seconds.
It the McLaren 720S fast? You bet. Is it fast enough to win the Ultimate Track Car Challenge? We’ll find out this September, when it takes to the twists and turns of Pitt Race to battle some of the fastest cars around for the title of Ultimate Track Car.
What’s eligible to compete? Any car and driver that can pass a safety inspection. If you meet those requirements, enter your car today. And, while you're at it, see who you'll be competing against this year.
The 2025 UTCC will once again be held alongside the SCCA Time Trials Nationals at Pitt Race, September 18-21.
