#FastFriday: This point-and-shoot Audi RS3 returns for more glory

Point-and-shoot cameras can be an ideal solution for the photographer that wants something that’s both quick and easy to use in most situations, but can the same thing be said of race cars?

Rob Wilmoth makes a compelling argument with his Audi RS3, saying that it’s “the most point-and-shoot car that I've ever driven. The suspension changes have transformed it from a 60% nose-heavy, pushy beast into a rotating machine that flies out of corners.”

In addition to 600 horsepower on tap, Rob’s Audi features custom aerodynamic modifications, BC Forged wheels wrapped in Vitour P1 tires plus brakes, suspension, a fuel system and more from 529 Innovations.

Rob previously placed 17th overall in our annual Tire Rack Ultimate Track Car Challenge Presented by Grassroots Motorsports last year with a fastest lap time of 2:17.400, achieving his goal of setting an even faster time than the year before–and did so while overcoming a transmission mount failure.

But will Rob be able to further improve on his time this year? We’ll find out in September, when his Audi RS3 joins some of the fastest cars around at Pitt Race to battle it out for the title of Ultimate Track Car.

The 2025 UTCC takes place September 18-21 at Pitt Race, once again alongside the SCCA Time Trials Nationals.

The Tire Rack Ultimate Track Car Challenge is presented by Grassroots Motorsports and fueled by Sunoco, in association with Wilwood, Vitour Tire, CRC Industries, XS Power, AMT Motorsport, Vbox Motorsport and Red Line Oil, with trophies from CalltoGrid, Bimmerworld, Falken Tire, Miller Electric, Vorshlag and Hoosier Tire.
