What formula makes the Tire Rack Ultimate Track Car? Every year, we set out to answer that question with the Tire Rack Ultimate Track Car Challenge Presented by Grassroots Motorsports.
This year, that winning formula is a built Ford Mustang, driven to the fastest lap time of 1:41.244 by Brian Faessler.
For his efforts, Brian wins the biggest trophy, a $1000 Tire Rack gift certificate and tons of ink in Grassroots Motorsports.
Second place, won by Andrew Dekoning in a Tesla Model S Plaid, wins a really big trophy and a $1000 Tire Rack gift certificate.
Rounding out the top three, and winning a big trophy and $1000 Tire Rack gift certificate, is Ryan Mathews in a Chevrolet Corvette.
The prizes don’t end at the bottom of the podium, however, as we had awards to hand out to the top eight finishers:
